Welcome to Vintage 2026

We marked the beginning of Vintage 2026 on Thursday 5 February with our annual Welcome Breakfast, a long-standing Vasse Felix tradition held on the Estate lawns. Over bacon and egg rolls, our vintage crew gathered with the broader team, reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and sharing stories of harvests past from wine regions around the world. It’s a moment to pause before the pace quickens, and to formally welcome the season ahead.

The following morning, Friday 6 February, the first fruit of Vintage 2026 was hand harvested in our Home Vineyard: Gingin clone Chardonnay from the Gibraltar G3 Block. These parcels are revered for their elegance, power and wild complexity, and find their way into our Icon and Premier tier Chardonnays.

Conditions in the final weeks leading into harvest were ideal, allowing for steady, even ripening. Yields are strong and the vines are in excellent health, an encouraging beginning to the season ahead.
