Harvest is now complete for 2026, with the final pick brought in from the historic Tom’s Plots in the Home Vineyard.

The season unfolded under mild, steady conditions, with warm dry days, cool nights and ocean breezes allowing fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. Following abundant winter rainfall in 2025, vines entered the growing season with excellent moisture reserves, resulting in healthy growth, generous bunch and berry size, and yields above expectation. Overall, fruit quality has been exceptional, showing wonderful balance, purity and flavour concentration across the board.

Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Shiraz were all harvested in excellent condition, with long, gentle ripening conditions supporting flavour development while retaining vibrant natural acidity.

Healthy vineyard microflora also encouraged beautifully complex wild fermentations, particularly across the Chardonnay parcels. Cabernet Sauvignon followed in outstanding form, with full bunches and generous berry size carrying through the warm, settled days of early autumn.

Years like this allow the team to pick at the ideal moment for style and flavour, rather than reacting to weather pressure. Meticulous work in the vineyard by Viticulturist Bart Molony and his team delivered pristine fruit, with balanced light exposure and excellent vine health. In the winery, the team worked around the clock to process fruit and guide each parcel through fermentation, supported by a fantastic international vintage crew bringing wonderful energy to the season. Overall, 2026 has shaped up to be a vibrant and generous vintage across all varieties.
