We are delighted to share that Vasse Felix has been announced as the Number 1 Winery in the Halliday Wine Companion 'Top 100 Wineries of 2025'

The Halliday Wine Companion Top 100 Wineries celebrates Australia’s best producers of the moment. It acknowledges both the stalwarts and the innovators, those who consistently produce exceptional wines and memorable cellar door experiences.

Marcus Ellis, Taster at Halliday, explains that the list recognises producers who constantly strive for better across all aspects of their wines, vineyards and region, as well as shaping Australia’s modern wine landscape to ensure its future. Factors for inclusion also consider wine quality across an entire range, industry impact, mentorship among peers, and sustainable practices both in the vineyard and throughout the business.

On Vasse Felix, Marcus noted:

“…Today, Vasse Felix is as influential as ever, if not more so. The 2023 HEYTESBURY Chardonnay was the White Wine of the Year in the 2026 Companion, while Virginia Willcock was the Winemaker of the Year. That complements Vasse Felix’s Bart Molony being declared Viticulturist of the Year in the 2025 Companion… This year was also one to celebrate the release of the 10th TOM CULLITY Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec.”

He continued:

“…Vasse Felix delivers relative value across all the wines, from the everyday to the flagships, eschewing the growing trend of pinnacle bottlings being unattainable to most. When you factor in history, scarcity and excellence, they are more than reasonable. Vasse Felix is richly deserving of the number one spot, and on so many levels.”

Join us in celebrating with a glass of your favourite vasse felix wine.
We sincerely thank the Halliday team for this recognition of Vasse Felix’s unwavering commitment to making the best wine possible and congratulate all the other wineries named in the Top 100.
