We are thrilled to share that Vasse Felix has once again been included in the Halliday Wine Companion 'Top 100 Wineries' of 2026.

The Halliday Wine Companion Top 100 Wineries celebrates Australia’s best producers of the moment. It acknowledges both the stalwarts and the innovators, those who consistently produce exceptional wines and memorable cellar door experiences.

On Vasse Felix, Halliday noted:
"Margaret River’s founding wine estate has been completely revolutionised under Chief Winemaker, Virginia Willcock. Since she joined Vasse Felix in 2006, the 2026 Halliday Winemaker of the Year has energised and refined winemaking practices (such as vinifying blocks of fruit separately in smaller vessels, and eschewing additives such as commercial yeast and tannin), and, in the vineyard, focused plantings and subsequently the portfolio on Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

The commitment to quality is evident across the range, but nowhere more so than in the TOM CULLITY Cabernet blend and the HEYTESBURY Chardonnay. The 2023 vintage of the latter was the 2026 White Wine of the Year, and the 2024 was similarly lauded, with Jane Faulkner calling it, simply, “one of the great Chardonnays”.

Arguably one of the most awarded and respected winemakers in the country, [Virginia’s] influence has gone far beyond the walls of Vasse Felix. Her cutting edge, boundary-pushing winemaking techniques have redefined these two key varietals not just across Margaret River but all Australia, and it is for this reason, as well as Vasse Felix’s place in the annals of Australian wine history, that it is considered one of our very best producers."

We sincerely thank the Halliday team for this recognition and congratulate all the other wineries named in the Top 100.
