This wine comes from the northern part of Margaret River where optimal ripeness is assured. Maturation in French oak barriques provides complexity to this generous, elegant and structured wine. The dry tannin structure of Cabernet Sauvignon is mellowed by the soft generous body of Merlot. A small amount of Malbec accentuates both varieties providing depth of colour, aroma, flavour and structure.
Moderate spring temperatures accompanied by low solar radiation and cool soil conditions contributed to slower vine growth and increased disease pressure. Thankfully, a consistently warm and dry summer ensured clean canopies and another early start to the white harvest. Rapidly cooling weather in March allowed extended ripening time for the reds and more traditional harvest timing through late March into April.
A 60/30/10% blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec matured in French oak. The super-fragrant bouquet heralds an elegant, light to medium-bodied wine that engages your attention through its seamless, silky and harmonious palate of red and black small berry fruits. Superb drink now/soon style.
So much to like about this classy fruit-driven cabernet merlot. Leafy minty aroma with red berry and cedary influences. The palate is medium bodied with fine chalky tannins, a dab of fine grained oak and plenty of driving fruit. Delicious wine for the next few years.
A tight and silky red with wet stone, black currant and berry aromas and flavors. Full body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Cassis infused with mint, supported by fine, gently sticky tannins and a zippy lift. Perfect for grilled or roast lamb. Available in Ontario.
