1990 Cabernet Sauvignon
The reputation of Vasse Felix was founded to a large degree, on our elegant, understated Cabernet Sauvignons. Recognisably similar in style to the better Bordeaux blends, the Vasse Felix wine is the result of careful blending of only the finest quality fruit.
Tasting Notes
Unmistakably Margaret River Cabernet. Richly coloured with purplish tinge, and exhibiting strong mulberry fruit and leafy Cabernet aromas supported by new French oak. The sweetness and complexity of berry fruit and oak flavours linger, with soft tannins, so typical of the Vasse Felix style. An elegant wine with a long finish.
Winemaker Notes
The elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit flavour for which Margaret River is renowned demands that the wine should be enjoyed with 5 to 6 years of vintage date. Connoisseurs will appreciate the complexity that will develop with the further 5 years of bottle age.
